This family pet showed up on our doorstep 3:00 am 8/9/2020 didn't want to leave

This male dog is currently in our backyard safe and being cared for until his family comes to find him he's great docile playful a big kid loves loves but I think he's missing his family I hope someone will come forward will take him for walk later to see if he can lead us to his home or someone see him you can't miss him.
WE DO NOT WANT TO TAKE HIM ANIMAL SHELTER.
