Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA Investigates Dog with Muzzle Taped March 30, 2017 Pomona, CA A 3 year old Chow Chow mixed breed dog with apparent signs of abuse was brought to the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA on Tuesday March 28th by IVHS Officers. A Good Samaritan found the dog at the 500 block of Pasadena Avenue in the city of Pomona. The dog appeared to have had a rubber band bound around his muzzle and was suffering tremendously. Shelter Veterinarians began medical intervention immediately and concluded that the dog had had his muzzle bound for some time. The dog is described as 3 year Chow Chow mix. The dog, who shelter staffs are calling “Caleb”, was found with no collar, ID tag or microchip. The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA is currently investigating the case as an act of animal cruelty. The dog is currently stable and under medical care at the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA.
